KINDLING

Our Kindling is produced as a by-product from our standard processing of our Firewood. The smaller bits are carefully sourced and placed in either Nets (30L), Boot Bags (90L) or Maxibags (200L).

The Hardwood qualities of our kindling allow your wood burner to warm up quicker than softwood kindling. On average the kindling will burn for about 30 minutes producing a hot bed of embers for you to place your logs upon.

Recommended use: Simply pick up a good handful of hardwood kindling and place in your wood burner or grate with good airflow between each kindle stick. Place 1 to 2 firelighter in the middle of your kindling and carefully ignite them with a long match or gas fire lighter. Make sure your air vents of your wood burner are fully open and the close the door. You should be able after about 15 minutes be able to start adding the logs. Your hardwood kindling will form a lovely bed of red hot embers to allow easy lighting of your logs. Please make sure to close the air vents to allow a longer burn of your firewood.
